President's Message

Welcome all members to the NEW Calgary Pointing Dog Club web site. As most of you know this has been a long time coming but with the hard work of Lori Stewart she finally got it up and running. Lori also had some help with content from Howard Coneybeare and Jim and Sue Deyell. Thank you for all your hard work everyone.

We hope you like the new format and enjoy the new articles and facts.

I hope all of you had a great hunting season and the dogs did well for you. Any stories and/or pictures you can pass them along to Lori Stewart. She would love hear about them and put them onto our web site. Also any bragging rights or new titles pass them along to Lori as the web site will be updated on a regular bases now.

We have a new season of tests, trials and training seminars in 2008. The dates for these events are posted on our new web site.

With the year almost over we want to stop and reflect on what we have accomplished with our dogs and enjoy what they have done. It is not everyday that people can stop and enjoy the companionship that a dog brings into our lives.

I know I have enjoyed what my hounds have done for me this year and hope to continue that success into next year. Even if my dogs do not place in an event the main thing for me is to get them out there to have fun and learn something new every year.

I would like to thank all of the volunteers that helped with all of our events for 2007. We will need more and new volunteers in the coming year so that we can continue having these events. As we all know that they are the ones that help make it happen.

With a final note I would just like to say that I have enjoyed beginning President of this great club. I would just like to remind everyone that we all need to enjoy our events and our dogs and still conduct ourselves like sportsmen and sportswomen.
